Tastetastic Thursday 10/4
I need your help, guys. I’ve lost my mojo. In a big way. I haven’t been able to menu-plan or grocery shop properly in weeks, and I just feel very much in a rut. How do you get yourselves out of cooking ruts? What do you do?
Here are our features from last week. I’m a little obsessed with all three of them.
Crispy Honey Chicken from Moneywise Moms, Owl Sugar Cookies from Lady with the Red Rocker, and Chocolate Chip Studded Pumpkin Roll Bars from AKM Designs and Delights
Who’s ready to party? The rules are simple:
- Please link up no more than two recipes.
- I’d love it if you’d follow me using the social media icons on the right sidebar.
- Please have a link back to me on your post. I’ll be featuring three links next week, but I can only feature you if there’s a link back.
- Click around, have some fun, and get inspired!
(As always, the links show up in random order. No rewards for the early birds, or punishments for those who get there a little later.)

Thanks for hosting! Today I’ve linked up an easy crock pot chicken stock recipe… perfect for making your own soups this Fall!

Hey Amy! I lose my mojo from time to time. What I do to cure it, is to read other food blogs. I love to read about other recipes and ingredients that inspire. Especially of it’s a blogger that I admire. I also go to my local Farmers’ Market each week. Sometimes, just looking at all the fresh produce brings ideas to mind.
I have to agree with Leslie! I scour Pinterest and blogs for new recipes and that gets me jazzed! Also I found a great site that I blogged about called EatAtHomeCooks – she has everything already planned out for ya for the week, including your shopping list. So super helpful if you aren’t feeling creative
.
Thanks for hosting!
Thanks Megan!
Thanks for the feature, Amy! I definitely lose my mojo and get in ruts from time to time. Usually, I get myself out of it by NOT focusing on brand new recipes and pushing myself. Instead, I pull back and give myself a break. I plan really simple meals and don’t think too hard. Usually that one week is enough to get me back on track with shopping and cooking. I hope you can snap out of it soon!
Thanks for hosting this link party. I’ve just submitted my post about Hot Spicy Shrimp Skewers at: http://yourcampingexpert.com/five-easy-camping-recipes-everyone-will-love-simply-love-them/
I hate the ruts, especially when you have kids to feed! Sometimes I grab my old cook boos or I turn to Pinterest! Good luck! Thanks for the party!
I take cooking ruts as an opportunity to clean out my pantry and freezer. When there is hardly any food left in the house you start to get creative.
Thank you so much for featuring my Pumpkin Roll Bars!
*Hugs*
Thanks for hosting this party….
Have a great day!!

Thanks for hosting!
There are plenty of interesting posts to check out. Thanks for hosting the party. I left #51 for one of my families favorites, Apple Spice Sausage Patties. It’s frugal and easy!
I linking up for the first time today and just wanted to say “HI” and thanks for hosting! Looks like a great linky party!
Glad to have you here!
I HATE those dang ruts! I feel like I’m just coming out of one. My blog has had like one post a week lately because I just don’t feel like planning, shopping and then blogging about it! I think we all need a little break once in a while and I guarantee you’ll be back to your normal self in no time! I like what another commenter said about the Farmer’s Market and also just checking out your favorite cookbooks or mounds of recipes you have sitting around. That always gets me motivated and inspired. Good luck!!!
